It has been one HECK of a week. All beginning with a terrible flu-like cold-like allergy-like who knows what. Lost my voice which any of you that know me know I might as well have died :) I have been on an antibiotic, which I am not sure has really helped me get over this crap any earlier, but I am thankful that I have a doctor I can call on Saturdays for emergency situations! Enough with that.
Monday, Grayson had a field trip to the zoo. Of course, I went...sick and all! Rainy & damp weather probably was not the best to be out in with my death sentence. Then he had a soccer game that night.
Tuesday, Grayson's school had a breakfast for the "volunteers" which might I add I have volunteered A LOT. And I don't regret at all. I am so BLESSED to have had the opportunity to spend so much time there this year.
Wednesday, I actually got a little work done at the office! Plus, I got my hair cut. Grayson's BF, Taylor came over to play after school.
I committed to make a box of twelve cards for an auction in White House this weekend, so I spent the evening finishing those up.
Thursday, I had a Mother's Day Tea at school for Grayson it was precious. They sang the cutest song with props. I just adore his teacher!
We have truly had a fantastic experience. So then after all this, we had a Teacher Appreciation Party. Taylor's Mom, Andrea, and I have grown really close this year. We live practically next door to each other but we have not ever hung out. She and I planned the best party ever for Mrs. Cooper. We had the best center pieces, beautiful trays of food. It was PERFECT. I made a photo album from all year of the kids for her. Andrea and I made these note cards in 4 X 6 where the kids wrote their names and filled in two blanks. The questions were: what do you like most about Mrs. Cooper? and what has Mrs. Cooper taught you this year? Their answers were perfect!
Friday (today): Grant had a Mother's Day Breakfast and sang songs!
He is so sweet too! We had muffins after his little songs. Now I am at the office catching up on a few things and headed out to...Grayson's Field Day. I need a BREAK! Tomorrow we have soccer games, but it is suppose to rain. So we will see.
This all leaves me with a little giveaway I meant to get to last weekend, but I felt bad and I didn't have time to upload it. So do you know I design for this fabulous TEAM? We posted our projects this week, so go check out our gallery. I am looking for simple quick meals to get us by this summer. Either things I can make the night before or make quick when I get home, chicken salad recipes, salads, your favorite meals, hot or cold! I love to cook. I really don't care if it takes a long time. I have the weekends! I just want to know what your favorite meal is and how to make it :) So leave a comment and my oldest son will tell me his favorite number between 1 and ? out of the amount of comments I get. I am telling you up front how my "random generator number" will be selected! Time will end Monday night, May, 11 at 12 midnight CST. Here is what you get:
It's some cute American Crafts Stuff! 6 cool patterned papers from the Crafts Fair line, a package of Thickers, a set of Journaling Stickers & Flair Adhesive Badges. Hope you win! Make sure that your email address is left with your comment so that I can email you to get you mailing address when you win. Thanks for participating.
